There has been no accident- the ABS brake light comes on at infrequent times, took to dealer (adams Jeep- annapolis, md) they said cab unit is bad (an electronic control box) $700 to repair, we did not have it repaired, I feel that this type of unit should not fail and wanted to check into recalls, dealer said there are not any on this repair. Grand Cherokee 4WD

I have never had brake problems with any other vehicle. This problem started out with only 11000 miles and a clicking noise when brakes were engaged. The pads and rotors were replaced. Then again at around 18,000 miles the pads were woren, and rotors replaced again, I believe. I can not find the receipt for that visit. Then at 25,000 miles pad were again put on and rotors turned. At 28,000 rotors vibrate and new ones put on. Now at 33,000 miles they are again vibrating. There is definitely a defect in this mechanism and it needs to be addressed.
