I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with 16,000miles in March 2000 & thought it was a fine running vehicle with excelent brakes. Jeep recalled the rotors & replaced them with stainless steel ones on 10/10/2000 at 29,234miles. The mechanic commented about a problem & on the way home we also noticed a terrible change in the car. When the brakes are applied the vehicle bucks & shudders, practically knocks your teeth out! very reduced & unsafe stopping resulted. These rotors have now been replaced four times & tomorrow will be the fifth time, all still under warrentee. These new Jeep rotors have been manufactured out of plane, like a warped record, resulting in unsafe braking & great discomfort. Our fine vehicle has become a lemon with these rotors! Chrysler will not give us any help, except to tell us to deal with our local Jeep service manager, who doesn't have a clue what to do. Do you have any suggestions" letter to the state attorney general"

I want to know why vehicles in Minnesota, especially Twin Cities area, are not included in the brake rotor salt belt recall (recall 00V136000) issued by Chrysler corporation involving the Jeep Grand Cherokee" our winters last 6 to 7 months during which this year the state of Minnesota was running out of salt due to the extreme usage this winter required. You cannot tell me that we don't qualify for this recall. I have received a written denial from damlier-Chrysler requesting this recall be performed on my vehicle. I was told the recall did not apply to my car. Am I supposed to feel safe and secure knowing that this problem exists where heavy salt usage occurs? does anyone see the massive lawsuit pending from owners living in Minnesota" I want an answer to this and I want my rotors replaced with the new style rotors named in the recall.

I took it back to potamkin Jeep and they replaced the rotors. The problem was back at 26,789 miles and I took it to dade Jeep. They replaced the rotors again with the same defective parts.
