Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L Straight 6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

Garbage rear rotors shot at 50k of highway driving lightly used. Dealer robbed me blind on them and of course not covered by warranty for some reason or another. Replaced with Chinese cheapos as the American garbage was about as strong as a piece of cheese. This was only the first brake mess

I have had my brakes serviced three times during the 19000 mile mark, and now my warranty has run out. The only solution for this problem is to replace calipers and rotors with performance parts(cost 1000+). Before I do that, I think I'll trade it in and go foreign, and American car dealers wonder why they have to offer 0%APR to sell a car.

Grand Cherokee Unknown

  • 45,000 miles

Problem started early and still has not been fixed, although I have had the vehicle in for at least 4-5 times (have to check my records). Each time they said it was fixed, but not. Last time the said the problem was pointed out in a service bulletin and they had "finally" fixed. That was not the case. Now have 45,500 miles on the vehicle and problem has recurred and gotten worse. Am taking it back in and demand no cost report. Will keep you posted

Grand Cherokee

My brakes pulsate every few months, I also have problems with needing a longer distance to safely brake in. I have had my rotors changed twice, I have had them turned countless times and my brakes changed twice in the last 50K miles

Grand Cherokee

Every 5-6 months the brakes pulsate, and have to be repaired each time, the last time was 5 1/2 months ago, (we have extended warranty)-the dealership replaced the entire brake system. Now, again they are pulsating-and the dealership believes that the brake system is faulty and should be repaired at no cost. There has been no RECALL, yet Chrysler sent out a Service Bulletin to all dealerships advising of this problem, yet are not prepared to again repair the problem, but are suggesting that it is how it is driven and are requiring us the customer to pay to have their problem fixed at a cost of $80.00 to turn the rotars with no guarantee this will fix the problem. So, Chrysler is aware of the problem, they just don't care about the consumer and providing customer satisfaction.

Grand Cherokee

  • 9,100 miles

Rotors warped at 9100 miles then again at 30000 miles. Of course no warranty now. Chrysler has a problem with this but they have been no help at all.
