problem #3

Dec 232005

Grand Cherokee 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 101,050 miles
Upon acceleration, the front driver seat broke resulting in severe backward and sideways tilt & rocking. Substantial corrective action was taken to keep control of vehicle. (I copied this complaint from another complainant because it is identical to mine). I had the same problem with my 1999 Grand Cherokee and the manufacturer replaced it under warranty after much negotiation, because the vehicle was out of warranty, calling it a safety issue.
