Just had the eniter exaust system replaced due to the cats were plugged. Replaced cats and all O2 sensors with factory oem's and now the car give 3 different codes, P0141, P0138, P1499. After the codes showed up took back to shop and had to replace all the O2 senors again to the tune of $500 plus labor. And went to drive and get tested only to fail again, for bank 1 sensor 2 high voltage detected. Now shop is telling me there was a problem with the pmc and it needs to be replaced to the tune of another $450 plus labor.

The engine cranks and runs fine but after you drive for a while the engine shuts off. It happens while you are driving or coming to a stop. It is random. It usually starts back up and runs fine until next time. When the engine dies, you do not have steering assist or brake assist. It is very hard to steer it off the road. A woman may have a hard time steering it or stopping it. I don't let my wife drive our Jeep much at all. It doesn't matter if you are driving in the city or on the freeway when it decides to shut off. Our Jeep is a 4WD with automatic transmission.

Air bag light illuminated. Dealer stated open recall for air bag module and front sensors. No parts available. We care driving an unsafe vehicle with no support from dealer. We need a safe vehicle to drive. Dealer also denied recall for faulty fuel tank in event of rear collision. We have a check engine code directly related to fuel venting/purge system. Dealer will not repair. In summary we have an unsafe vehicle that has 2 potential ways of causing bodily harm.

This Jeep had the 4.7L V8 engine. Jeep was running fine, never had any issues with leaking fluids, etc.or any engine issues at all. Went to a friends house for a couple hours and when I went to leave, the vehicle started very rough and had no power - hitting the brake to change gears would stall the engine. Diagnostic testing showed no compression in the first cylinder. I was unable to pay to have my engine torn apart (keep in mind I only had this vehicle for little over a year and still owed over $1000 on something that was not driveable), but from the symptoms it seems this was caused by a dropped valve seat. I have seen numerous complaints on this issue in this engine (in Jeep and other Chrysler vehicles) and am surprised that no recall has been made. I am unsure what would have happened if I was driving at 50 mph when the engine failed.

While driving on the highway at a slow rate of speed (5 mph) due to a traffic jam, my vehicle overheated. Once towed off the highway, the mechanic diagnosed a fan failure for the radiator which caused the vehicle to overheat. Subsequently there may be damage to the engine caused by the fan failure. I researched this and discovered a recall issued (8/2006) by daimler Chrysler for the electric radiator fan (safety recall F25). I called Chrysler today (case #[xxx]) and they said that this recall does not apply to my vehicle even though the recall clearly states it applies to vehicles with the "S" in the 8th position which it is. Please advise on next steps. Thank you. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Chrysler has issued over 10 recalls on my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee and have failed to complete any of the required recall service. They have not received any parts from their suppliers to replace the defective parts covered under the recall. The amount of affected vehicles are over 950.000 Chrysler has still failed to resolve any of the outstanding recalls on my vehicle, and has not offered substitute transportation after 9 months that the numerous recalls were issued, and not resolved due to zero availability of replacement parts. This is a major safety liability that Chrysler is conveniently ignoring updated 06/4/13
