It is six months since notification of the and I have yet to receive the part. I have call the dealership and Chrysler and neither can tell me when the part will be available. There is no explanation on why it is taking so long to get the part. My seat belt and airbag lights are on and this needs to be immediately resolved.

The danger is a inadvertent deployment of the front airbags.. damage to the computer chip. The problem has now involved the seat belt warning lights to stay "on".

In December of 2010 my side airbags deployed spontaneously while turning into a shopping center in woodbridge, va. After surveying the vehicle and finding no evidence of any crash or other reason for the airbag to deploy, I took my vehicle to lustine Jeep in woodbridge, va. They looked over the vehicle and told me that it could not have happened the way I described it. After fighting with Chrysler they agreed to cover some of the cost of replacing the airbag. I was charged $600 total. Then in November of 2012 I learned that Jeep was recalling Grand Cherokee and Liberty in my vehicles age range for exactly what I described happened to me in 2010. Since that time I have spoken to numerous people from the Jeep dealership and from Chrysler. I have received one recall notice that told me I would be receiving a second notice once a vendor had been found to produce the new corrective part. I was also told that I could not request a refund of the $600 I was charged until I get the second notice. I was told to expect the second notice in March or April of this year but that has not happened. It is now almost June and Chrysler refuses to address this. I am driving around a vehicle that could pop its airbag at any moment and I cannot get Chrysler to address the money that was taken from me for a safety issue that they should have taken care of in 2010. Please help.

The Chrysler group notified me Jan/Feb of recall for a seconds notice of accidental front and side airbag deployment, this a day after my airbag light turns on. Called, got on list asap, waited, called repeatedly, will not drive. For as they stated in noticed "we are sincerely concerned about your safety". so I was as well. I bought this vehicle for these options specifically, and not have my two small children in a mid sedan surrounded by SUVS. So here I am, 4 mo later still making monthly payments, insurance, registration, rejection sticker (airbag light) and no drive. This is a ridiculous time period, I should at least be allowed to have them disconnected free of charge, for my car insurance will likely rise. But at least I could use it. Its basically an expensive cd player when I start it up once a week for its own good!

The dealer wanted to charge the consumer $195 diagnostic fee. The consumer stated no one at the dealer wanted to assist him and open the case number. On March 6, 2013, while driving, the air bags inadvertently deployed. The consumer blacked out for a second or two, and was hit on the right rear passenger side bumper. The vehicle then slid forward as he tried to avoid hitting the left sidewall of the bridge, in which the vehicle went into a spin side ways.

The amount of affected vehicles are over 950.000 Chrysler has still failed to resolve any of the outstanding recalls on my vehicle, and has not offered substitute transportation after 9 months that the numerous recalls were issued, and not resolved due to zero availability of replacement parts.
