I was sitting at a red light and upon the light turning green I turned to the right and was about to merge into the left lane when both airbags exploded for no reason. No one was in the passenger seat at the time of the incident nor was there any other cars close by that I could have hit. The bag burst with such force that I saw stars for a second. Damage left me with a bruised cheek, cut arm and bruised hand along with a sore chest pain. The smell and smoke from the air bag filled my vehicle even though I could still see it was foggy. It happened right near my home so I was able to park the car. The sound was like someone was shooting a gun at my car. The result is Chrysler does have a recall on these airbags, they have my vehicle but are unable to find the parts to make repairs. The force was so hard that it damaged my whole dashboard. Chrysler dealer now has my car and they are telling me they will need to do an investigation on "their recalled airbags" and do not know when or if they will be able to get my car fixed nor are they willing to provide me with transportation during this time. I am a property manager and could loose my job over their negligence.
