problem #1

Nov 072012

Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 98,798 miles

It happens at random times. I noticed it happens more frequently when I use my remote start and the car has been warming up for about 10 min then while I am driving or sitting at a light then all the warning lights start flashing! it lasts up to 1 min. The last time it happened while it was running while parked at my work last week! then the check engine light stayed on! I work at a Ford dealership and spoke to my service Manager who did not have the proper scanner for my Jeep so he said to bring it in the next day and he would get the proper scanner. Unfortunately I had a family emergency and could not get it in for them to check. while driving to the Hospital the check engine and the problem seemed to go away for now. I have heard it could be the ignition switch on YouTube! Also It is not just the Grand Cherokee that is affected it also falls on the Commander and the Liberty!
