Parked in garage at night. No warning lights, odd sounds, grinding, clunks, clicks, NOTHING. No puddle on the floor, battery good - (checked by AAA), car would not start. Towed to Dealership, they said engine is seized. I was initially happy to report that the car was purchased with the lifetime powertrain warranty! I've had to contact Chrysler Customer Support because they are saying the requirement to have it inspected once every 5 years by the dealer was not done. I've appealed and they have my case under review for Warranty reinstatement.

This vehicle has been perfectly maintained by my employer's repair facility (over 50 vehicles and over 90 pieces of construction equipment). The vehicle has been inspected annually by our 3 mechanics bumper to bumper and oil change services performed on regular 3,000 mile intervals. We've had nothing major go wrong with this car. The biggest repairs have been rear shocks, and a water pump (which did not fail but was weak, so it was replaced as a precaution). Other than that, it has had regular suggested servicing, brake pads & rotors, filters, tune-ups, radiator flush, etc.

I am supposed to hear back from them today. I hope to be updating with good news.

Over the past 12-15 months, random/periodic issues of not starting. May happen numerous times over days/weeks, then no problems for months, then cycle repeats itself. It has been to dealer and several independent mechanics, no one able to determine or duplicate the problem. Never shows any error codes.

Starter & connections have been replaced. Crank and/or cam sensor has been replaced. Problem still exists.

All suggest it could be the TIPM and/or fuel relay module, but hesitant to replace due to the high cost, without being able to substantiate that is what the problem is.

When it fails to start, almost sounds like either bad timing or lack of fuel or fuel flooded. It may start after waiting a few minutes and re-trying. Sometimes it may take several tries over a 10-20 minute period before it will start.

Makes it a unreliable vehicle, which is extremely frustrating.

when starting hot almost acts like removed fuel pump relay

Cranking and won't start. Fuel pump relay is hot...the old one and the new one. Finally I have a check engine light and a code. P0507. No help, that's a recommended vacuum leak check......(Making a hot fuel pump relay?). I think I might have an open wire grounding. I make deliveries with this vehicle(used to..). Now I am unreliable. By the time I do so many deliveries it wont start. On the web I see many people with the same problem but I see no solutions.? The transmission is in hard shift mode. I'm broke so I'm limping around in hard shift mode assuming $1100 transmission fix. $100 towards repair to check it, but where is it going to die? Is there a vacuum leak in the automatic trans that would do this.
