The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V154000 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic) however, the parts needed to complete the repair were not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,000 and the current mileage was 38,274.

The contact owns a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle would pull toward the right whenever the brakes were applied. Upon examining the brakes, the contact noticed that there were sand holes in the rotor casting on the front passenger side. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, where the contact was informed that the failure did not require any repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was also notified, but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 200. Rust holes in front brake rotor on right side. Updated 10/05/2011
