Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 41,000 miles

Just purchased this vehicle on 02/21/2017, it is now 06/05/2017, with 36,908 on the odometer. Three recalls were performed one was because of the Jeep stalling out of know where. I believe it was the fuel pump relay recall. Well the stalling has occurred twice since the recall was done.

Now with 41,000 miles on it, my Jeep is at the dealer because it overheated and had to be towed to the dealer. The water pump was replaced under the power train warranty, however it wont start and I am told it needs a starter which is not under warranty. This will cost me $700.00. I am wondering how it was determined that it needs a water pump when the vehicle wont start.

I am told by the dealer that after the starter is installed and the vehicle is running, then they will see if that is all that is wrong with the vehicle. I have read that the stalling problem is related to the TIPM which there is no recall for. I am very worried that I will have a bad accident with this vehicle due to some fault in the vehicle. Please help!!!!!!

Grand Cherokee LX V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 36,749 miles

My Jeep is a 2012 with only 36749 miles on it. The Water Pump went. I spoke with the mechanic and he stated that he had a very hard time finding a water pump for my vehicle. One dealer told him they had 1400(yes 1400) on back order. It was going to take 6 days to get one and I live in the Automotive Capital of the world This tells me there is a problem with the water pump design..

Grand Cherokee Overland 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission

Coolant leak. Hardware failure. Vehicle is a lemon. Starting to wonder whether dealer is above board. Seems to do work that is not necessary such as what they call 'peace of mind' service for 'preventative' maintenance.

Grand Cherokee Overland V6

leaked antifreeze allover the engine compartment

I purchased an american car and i really regret it. It is back in the shop now with an engine light on. Maybe we should let them go to China and have them bult there as it is unimagineable to me that a brand new car is having all these issues.

Car is nice to look at but i need it to work. The reason most of us buy new cars is not to have issues with them running.
