problem #1

Jan 082014

Grand Cherokee Overland 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

Problem has occurred about 10 times in first year of ownership. Instrument panel changes to "BRAKE", sometimes with audible warning, automatically braked a couple times. Always occurs with a vehicle stopped in adjacent lane, usually a left turn lane. At least once with a stopped vehicle in the right lane. Very alarming and not acceptable.

Talked to service guy last time we had it in for warranty work. Said they hadn't heard of the problem and couldn't do anything because it is intermittent. That was after 3 or so occurrences. Taking it in specifically for this now after at least 10 occurrences.
