1. when adaptive cruise control is set and vehicle has to adjust speed, there is a static noise coming from under the steering column. 2. when adaptive cruise control is set, vehicle will accelerate when approaching vehicles instead of slowing down. 3. vehicle brakes on it's own and displays "brake" in display when more than 3 car lengths away. This happened with and without vehicle adaptive cruise control set. As a side note, Chrysler/Jeep has not been responding to our dealer to rectify these problems.

I received a notice from Chrysler regarding their recall P-16 involving the corrosion of the brake booster housing. In late June I contacted the dealership where I purchased my vehicle and was advised that Chrysler was only providing between 1 and 5 repair kits per week and that there were 30 vehicles ahead of mine to be repaired. I contacted the dealer today (Sept 3rd) and questioned when I could bring my vehicle in and was told a date could not be given due to a lack of parts from Chrysler. I then contacted Chrysler and was given the same information, due to the millions of vehicles involved their supplier could only provide a limited number of parts each week to fix this recall. Clearly Chrysler has issued the recall to use in their defense in future law suits but are dragging their corporate feet delivering the required replacement parts.

I have been leasing a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee for roughly ten months. Throughout that time, I have been notified at least three times of active safety recall notices for my vehicle. My vehicle shows computer modules broken which as a result has disabled my air bags. In addition, my vehicle has a safety recall for a brake booster and now an inoperative vanity lamp which may cause a fire. My vehicle is entirely and completely unsafe to drive and Chrysler Jeep is not taking the appropriate immediate action to rectify this event. I am being forced to drive a vehicle with possibly deteriorated brakes, and disabled air bags.

I got a recall notice on June 2, 2014 for a possible brake booster issue. I called southern Maine motors (where I purchased the Jeep band new) on June 2, 2014, June 20, 2014 and July 15, 2014 and all of those times I called they say they did not have the parts in. So I called the NHTSA the first part of July, 2014 and complained and they sent me a follow-up letter - this has still not been taken care of. On July 15, 2014 I was placed on the waiting list and they said they would call me when the parts came in. This is unacceptable, I have had nothing but recall after recall on this brand new vehicle. I called ann arbor, mi office and they stated that there were infact parts sent to southern Maine motors and I still have yet to be in to get this fixed, now winter is coming. What is wrong with Chrysler? you would think that if you are going to recall your product, they would have the parts in to take care of us. I want this resolved asap.

At approximately 12:50pm, while driving in sport mode, going up a hill, I was accelerating normally at a reasonable pace after making a right-hand turn. The acceleration pedal around 30 mph disengaged from my foot and floored itself, and continued accelerating. Despite pushing on the break pedal repeatedly. I could not initially un-stick the accelerator pedal using my foot. The engine made some noise and a warning with a red light appeared on the instrument panel: "service electronic throttle". because the breaks were not working I engaged the gear shift to turn to the vehicle from S/sport mode back to D/drive mode. I pressed the break pedal again and again, still nothing. The Jeep reached above 72-77 mph+ on that street highway. I was well beyond concerned for my own safety but for the safety of the intersection in which I was about to approach. Finally, I wedged my shoe in between the floor and the accelerator pedal (which was difficult B/C it would not budge), the pedal finally released, but there was still no immediate reaction from the engine until 1-2 complete seconds later. I could have been seriously injured, seriously hurt others, or died.

In accordance with a safety recall notice I received (P14/NHTSA 14V-154), I contacted my Jeep dealer, carl burger Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram world, la mesa, ca, to schedule an appointment to have my brake booster evaluated and replaced. The service department representative confirmed over the phone that my vehicle was affected by the recall and that my vehicle's brake booster would need to be replaced. She told me that my name would be added to a waiting list, and that I would be notified when the dealership had received the replacement part. I asked her to estimate the waiting time period. She informed me (1) that there were more than 260 customers ahead of me on this waiting list, (2) that the dealership had only received 45 parts so far, and (3) that the dealership was receiving new parts at a rate of only five per week. By my rough calculations, this means that I (and other customers) could expect to wait 43+ weeks (viz., nearly one year) before receiving the replacement part. Given the grave risks associated with untimely replacement of the brake booster, as expressed in the recall notice, I find this timeframe to be entirely unacceptable and unreasonable. I urge the NHTSA to look into this matter further. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I was driving on the highway where I spend most of my time while in my vehicle putting over 30K miles on my car in one year to get back and forth to work and while jumping on a major route 101A in nh where cars drive very fast my engine shuts down and I can not do anything but put on my hazard lights and hope the cars passing at 65mph dont hit me. This happened at least 3 - 5 times afterward and even a couple of times after having the dealer looking into the vehicle and I have been told it was a software update but they are unable to provide me with the details of what the software update is and what it resolves. I have since had the issue and brought it in for service numerous times and I told the same thing over and over and they keep reinstalling my software and tell me that it's all set and I am no longer satisfied nor feel safe in my vehicle that I put a lot of highway miles to get back and forth to work. Please help since nobody is able to help me and since I put on so many miles I am unable to be covered by the lemon law within a short period of owning the vehicle and its very frustrating.

Received notification of safety recall P14/NHTSA 14V-154 in may, 2014. Called the dealer. They put the vehicle on list and promised to call when they received parts. Multiple calls to dealer have yielded no results. I am told repeatedly that I am on list and they will call when the parts come in. Received 2nd recall notice for same recall: P14/NHTSA 14V-154 August 12, 2014. Again I called the dealer with no results. I am continually told I am on list and they will be in touch.
