Grand Cherokee Limited 75th Anniversary 5.7L

I special ordered my 75th anniversary edition 3 months ago and noticed I had an oil leak soon after my fist oil change. I thought it may be from spillage from the oil change, but the leak didn't slow down. The dealership thought it was a sensor, but the next day follow up showed a crack in the PLASTIC part of the oil pan...really...plastic...Jeep 4x4. I'm very disappointed knowing that my hard earned money is not being utilized as I would expect it to be....being a Jeep. Hope this is addressed appropriately and successfully.

We bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ 27 miles on it. Within 2 weeks it was leaking oil. The dealer tried to replace the oil pan per the service advisory. Within a week the oil pressure low warning started. Blue smoke on startup. Result, blown engine. New vehicle with same leaking oil pan problem. The nightmare begins again.
Update from Jul 17, 2016: Good news! They finally replaced the oil pan without issue. We've been driving it for 2 weeks without alarms or leaks. I'm not sure how they let these engines out of the factory like this but it has to be costing them a small fortune. I think Fiat has to be more concerned with quality.

333 miles on a new Grand Cherokee and the oil pan leaks. Tech replaced pan and still leaking. Chrysler techs say its the rear main seal, turns out a guess. Tech replace another oil pan. Owned the car two months and driven for a week. 5.7L's built in Mexico, thanks Chrysler. Still don't have a car. Go where others can't- to the dealership!

Brand NEW car! $60K worth! Granted I have had 2 Jeep GC 1993 traded with 180K miles on it for 2000 GC currently still have it 196K miles.
Great beginners car! Both last well over 100K miles before wear and tear failures nothing major! Research says PLASTIC oil pan needs to be changed per instruction sheet K6855858. Vehicle has been in shop for week with oil leak and told need redesigned oil pan. Got car out of shop and within a day oil LEAK! Going back one more time same Stealership. If not fix then will consider hunting down attorney.

Had local jeep dealer fix, I bought online out of state. Local jeep dealer gave me a loaner vehicle and was very nice to deal with. The oil leak was very small. They hold to pull the transmission to replace the real main seal. Not the start of my jeep relationship I was hoping for. They fixed the problem the first time. Jeep has not shifted the same since the fix. Tranny slips and bumps when taking off. Has got stuck in reverse twice and gearshift flashes R when stuck. Occasionally thinks its in manual shift when I have shifted it back and stays in first gear. Need to take in and see what they say but its very intermittent.
