The electrical system per the on-dash guide shows a voltage of 13.8 V or less than the 14.2 V and when it is less than the 14.2 V the car drives choppy, braking causes the car to jolt around even after brake work. The radiator was recently replaced and new hoses were replaced and it still has not been remedied after new brakes and new serpentine belt. The dealer did not clean all remaining radiator fluid that spilled in the bottom of the car, as the radiator had not completely been malfunctioning prior to arrival at dealer. This has probably caused some corrosion due to faulty manufacturing and use of subpar components to where this would become an issue. The air hoses continuously make noise as there is intermittent whirring. The electrical components of the car which I assume are manifested via the voltage regulator cause the adaptive cruise control/ auto stop-start to become 'unavailable' intermittently throughout driving the car. There have been recalls issued for other Jeep Grand Cherokees for the very same issues that my car is experiencing and I want this to be remedied and not at my expense.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request" - Power steering failed while driving with family in vehicle including pregnant wife and toddler. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The power steering turned off while driving and has been deemed defective. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, the dealership confirmed it-€™s a rack and pinion issue and they are out of stock and on back order. I-€™m not the only one experiencing this. They also can-€™t fix my car without a part. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The dealership inspected it. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear" No. The jeep only has 55000 miles on it. I take care of my cars. This issue is known and the part is $2000 not including labor. I want my car fixed and I can-€™t get it fixed. I rely on this vehicle for my family. They can-€™t order the part nor find it. I am stuck without power steering. Not by choice.

My pre-owned 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 Trailhawk is unsafe and unreliable because the vehicle ** would not start ** on three occasions within 18 months of ownership. Also, the "auto start" feature on the key fob works intermittently. Thankfully, I was in safe locations when the problems occurred, but two of those locations were in public, away from home. Also, the dashboard has indicator lights that come on randomly such as engine or start/stop or "check air suspension" or check ABS. The dealer has not been able to find or diagnose the problem, yet I keep paying out of pocket fees. My problems would occur with no warning, so there would be no time to get help. I contacted Chrysler on 8/8/22 and they were no help; they just directed me back to a dealer to pay another out-of-pocket diagnostic fee. They expressed no concern for my safety, did not acknowledge my frustration, and said a supervisor was not available to speak to me. All recall work was completed prior to my owning the vehicle. I do not trust my own vehicle and I need to travel frequently through desolate and arduous terrain. I am likely going to get rid of the vehicle because (1) I don't trust Chrysler or government systems to help me in the timeframe that I need help, (2) I need to do my job and have a peace of mind, and (3) I need to know that I and my family will be safe.

The shifter would not move at all. It then stated to "service the shifter" within minutes the check engine light came on. I just bought the car from carmax and within 12 hours that came on after they did a full bumper to bumper inspection.

We tow our vehicle and it is having a real bad wobble. This happens when we make sharp turns while in tow only. After the turn it usually corrects itself. We are concerned that this may be the same problems they are having with the earlier make Jeep which is referred to as the dearth wobble. We have an appointment with a Dodge dealer to check it out.

Three events in 12 months of vehicle violent "wobble" (tracks side to side) while being towed by a class a (motorhome) at slow speed ~15 to 25 mph. Conditions preceding events include: 1) from a stop to moving after turning, usually 90 degrees, but not always, 2) dry asphalt pavement, and 3) sometimes after a road dip. Please note that other conditions may contribute/cause event, but the three events I've experienced, were under conditions stated above. Vehicle had less than 16,000 miles when the last event occurred, and more than 7,000 miles before first event. First occurrence while flat towing was after more than 3,000 miles of vehicle being towed. Notified Jeep dealer - no help (no recalls, no tsb's, no recommended mitigation fix), reviewed many similar occurrences on various rv forums e.g. irv2, fmca, and others. Took vehicle in for an alignment check at 16,000 miles and within oem specification. The vehicle movement is violent enough to transfer side-to-side forces into my 45', 46,000 lb. Mh (with tag axle). The you tube video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?V=fwguajaeeci) accurately represents my experience. I am using roadmaster's sterling tow bar with an air force one (smi) supplemental braking system. The tow bar geometry and proportional braking system are setup according to oem requirements, I have owned five Jeep gc's (2012 and earlier) and have flat-towed these without issue. Per the assistant editor at fmca, fca has refused to address the issue in the 2016 and newer gc's with electric steering, after recognizing the issue in the Cherokee model after that model's conversion to electric steering. I have not experienced an accident and have not identified damaged equipment yet, however, lateral G-forces are significant enough to likely cause significant future component failure.

See note to insurance company I received my 2018 Jeep back yesterday 7/10/19 after months of waiting for farmers to regain possession after stolen and recovered in Mexico and repairs to be done. I drove the car home from bumper to bumper last night. When I tried to drive the car home from the gym today the window on the passenger side stating going up and down by itself. I was going 45 miles an hour. When I tried to stop it with the switch the transmission locked up and all power died. The car skidded 10-15 feet toward a intersection. I almost went through the windshield. Lucky I am strong enough to stop myself. I am requesting you that you total this vehicle return my down payment and make payment to Chrysler in arrears. This vehicle is unsafe.

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that every time the vehicle was in operation and a turn was made, the vehicle decelerated and lost power. Also, the front wheels and steering wheel seized. The contact could not turn the vehicle due to the stiffness of the steering wheel. In addition, the engine leaked oil and the electronic throttle, check engine, and stability control warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to North West Dodge (9616 northwest fwy, houston, tx 77065, (281) 720-1128) where it was diagnosed that the oil needed to be changed. The vehicle was repaired multiple times, but the failures recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 39,680. The VIN was invalid.

I nearly died on 5/8/19 driving my Jeep. I was going about 60mph on the expressway in the far left lane. My sos 🆘 went off on my phone and immediately I lost control of the car and wheels started turn into left and right. There was no more power steering and I had to struggle and force the wheel to the right and left so I wouldn't crash into the divider wall on the left and cars on the right when it would change lanes. This went on for what seemed forever. I reached for my phone that was flashing and pressed the cancel button and shortly after it began to calm down and I began to get some control. I don't understand what happened my phone was not connected to the blue tooth it was sitting on the passenger seat. You have an image that is described as a death wobble that is similar only mine was more profoundly severe. What is this and what causes it? it almost killed me. I could have had my grandchildren in the car with me. I do not want to go in to Jeep an they act like they don't know or can't find the problem. This is a deadly safety problem and I am afraid to drive this car. It is safe and there is no warning sign. Fix it immediately, recall it, exchange it, or refund it.

While being towed by an rv, the Jeep started violently wobbling which shook my 40,000 # rv pretty hard. This started after a slow (about 5mph) left turn. The wobbling did not stop until completely stopping the rv. This has only happened once in 5,000 miles of being towed. Has never happened while driving the Jeep about 11,000 miles.

On highway going 70 mph with cruise control set and all of a sudden our Jeep went out of control and started to the left. Was able to regain control after a few seconds, but was very lucky there was no other vehicles to our left or we would have crashed into it. On July 18, 2018, recall 18U65183 18-U6-51-83 reprogram PCM with new software was installed.
