After several attempts to have safety recall N46 rectified, Jeep says the parts are still unavailable. I received my recall notice over a year ago. I think a year is an unreasonable amount of time to rectify a safety issue. Especially one that is as dangerous as this one. I purchased an SUV to be more safe for my family and now I don't feel safe, driving them in it.

Received recall regarding safety issue on Jeep Liberty. Have contacted 3 different dealers in tri-city area and have been told that the parts are unavailable. If this is indeed a safety issue, they need to get the parts and make them available. "the fuel tanks in these vehicles are at risk of failure and leakage in certain rear impacts. On vehicles in the recall that are not equipped with a tow hitch, Chrysler will install a Chrysler designed tow hitch free of charge, provided the condition of the vehicle can support proper installation."
