I was driving in Vermont at nights and my headlights stopped working. Very scary considering that it was dark as hell. Over the past month they have worked one night then not the next. They would sometimes flicker on 3 times then off completely. For the last month I have been a reverse vampire for I have had to be home before dark as I couldn't ensure that they would work on a given day and couldn't afford dealership price gouging! I had 2 mechanic friends of mine check it out and did a lot of investigation online prior to breaking down and bringing it to a dealership. During my investigation I found that there was a class action lawsuit for this issue and there is a current recall on this particular issue, however not on my specific jeep. I also found a ton of complaints !!

The Jeep dealership told me that it was a faulty Totally Integrated Power Module and would cost over $1400. I contacted Chrysler directly and was advised that since there is not a recall on my specific Jeep they could not offer me any assistance in the huge financial hit that I have taken!!

Thank you for listening.

Nov 14 2014. Unlocked driver door, lights flashing, wipers & fluid going everywhere, horn going off, CD changer clicking (luckily no CD was in it) back window and wipers opening and going off.

Had the car towed to Auto Nation in Mobile, Al. At this time the battery had a bad cell, had it replaced and was told that was the problem. That did not fix the problem.

Update from Feb 3, 2015: Dec 14,2014 opened the driver door, horn went off, lights flashing, wipers and fluid everywhere. I called Auto Nation and had it towed for the second time. This time they replaced the Cluster-Instrument Panel and was told that the problem was fixed. I was charged $962.61.

Update from Feb 3, 2015: January 16, 2015 Opened the back passenger door the horn went off. Called Auto Nation was told to continue my errands. When leaving store parking lot the same thing happened again horn went off, wipers and fluid went on, flashing lights, CD changer clicking. Called Auto Nation and the car was towed for the third time. Auto Nation did give me a loaner to drive. On 01/21/15 was told that the problem was the TIPM which was replaced, I picked up my car 02/31/15.

At the beginning of this problem (11/14/04) I called the Chrysler 800 number, was assigned a case worker and a case number. Was in contact with them several times.l. The last time the case worker sent me an e mail on how to request a refund. I mailed all info on the previous complaints to Chrysler Group Customer Care.
