The sky slider roof on my Jeep Liberty stopped closing properly several weeks ago. At first it was just leaking and small parts of the roof wouldn't close. Eventually it progressed to the entire sky slider and now will not close completely at both ends. I have seen several other complaints about this same problem on the internet and I believe that this is a faulty product made by Jeep and should be recalled immediately!

2008 Jeep Liberty was brought into dealership due to manufacturing weakness with the sky slider. One press of the close button and the whole back portion of the sky slider misaligned and would not close. The service rep. Stated that the whole assembly line was defaulted and would be very expensive to fix. Meanwhile, due to this manufacturing weakness, my Jeep was not drivable due to the sky slider sliding forward and backward suddenly and loudly every time the Jeep was driven over 35mph. The process in getting the Jeep repaired has taken over 3 weeks and the repairs are still not completed at the time this compliant was submitted. The Chrysler corporation is assisting with the repairs, however at this time there is no recall on this product.

I owned this vehicle for 2 1/2 years, my Jeep Liberty has a sunroof that completely opens up the roof and all the sudden on Tuesday September 27,2011 around 5:45 I was driving and try to open the sunroof a little and it open all crooked and with the wind it was lifting up from one side I had to pull over and hold it with one hand and driving with my other hand I had to drive back home called the dealer witch was closed at the time the next day I called the towing truck to take it to the dealer closer to my house and they send us 35 min. Away from there because we had to take it were we bought the vehicle and not covered by the warranty. It's been 11 days already and I still don't have my vehicle back. I haven't seen that many vehicles with the sunroof like mine and I'm really wondering if this has happen to someone else.
