Liberty Limited V6

If I turn on the A/C cold air blows on the passenger side, hot air blows on drivers side. Same with the heater, it will blow on the passenger side and cold air blows on the drivers side. Not very comfortable at times.

Air conditioner not blowing through vents. Took to several mechanics and this is not covered under regular warranty or extended. The part that many of the mechanics I have taken the Jeep to is called is the AIR BLEND DOORS. They melt after a period of time and the doors are unable to open. This is approx. a ten hour job because they have to take the dash board apart and remove the steering wheel to get to. I was told by numerous people and looked it up on the internet that this is very common with the Jeeps.

I contacted Jeep through their website and what it boils down to is they told me I am SOL!!! They claim they have not hear anything about it and will not assist. Many people I have spoken to never hear this happening to any other makes of vehicles. The mechanics tried getting the doors to stay open but will not due to melting. The cost I have been told for the repairs is $1,200 approx give or take. Major repair!!!! Time Consuming and many of the mechanics do not want to do the job because it ties up their shop stalls for to long. I do not have the money to make this repair and am with out a car because I can not drive around with no air due to health issues. Jeep will not assist in any way. They said they do not take problems that are word of mouth or off the internet. I have saved these emails.

The A/C and heater only work on the defrost and feet setting. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL? The dealership I purchase the car from said it was not covered by my warranty (shocking) and would cost me $1300 to fix.

vents not working

The door apparently got hot enough to melt. Not sure why. I bought the Jeep used when it was 2 years old and I've had it for 4 years now. I"m going to report this to the local dealership and see if they've seen or heard anything like this before.

Air Conditioner/Heater won't blow air through the top vents. Had someone look over the connections and they said there wasn't a problem with that, just need to replace the air flap actuators. It's an affordable part, but labor intensive because the whole dash has to be taken off. Takes about 8 hours to fix. I live in Texas, so the heat gets pretty unbearable in the summers.
