threw a rod

Had this Jeep for almost 3 years and not a single problem, then as my family was on the way home from a trip while I was working almost two hours from home, I got a call that the Jeep made a loud noise and started smoking out the tail pipe. They pulled over and it wouldn't start. They happened to be 80 miles in the middle of nowhere, with my 2 yr old granddaughter. Thankfully a couple of officers happened to stop and see if everything was okay. They were worried for my granddaughter so they gave my family a ride all the way home.

When I finally got the Jeep back home, I did some investigating of my own, having rebuilt a couple engines of my own, found the engine was locked down and a nice hole in the side of the block from a broken rod with only 40,000 miles.

Needless to say I'm still paying on this Jeep, Now its just sitting in the driveway because I don't have the money to buy a new engine. I am extremely disappointed in this Jeep. I always thought they were a good quality vehicle. Boy was I wrong, I will never buy another one. And I will never recommend to anyone this Jeep.
