Liberty JET

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

Bought the Jeep used in March 2017, and by July 2018 I started having issues. Took me 9 months to get fixed and I had no car. Since I had no warranty on it, it sat in the garage taped up and unable to drive. Dealer said some cables broke, that took 9 months to get placed. Everything is discontinued for that year so it all had to be made. Once I got the parts in Jan 2019, they came across other issues. Luckily my boyfriend was able to fix for the dealer. I can still open and close once in awhile, but they told me to just leave it closed or something else may break. I am not the only person around either that had the same issue. Dealer said they have more people waiting on parts. Jeep should put this in as a recall! Wish I would have known there were issues with the skyslider before I bought it!

Liberty Limited 3.2L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

bought this beautiful Jeep Liberty with sky slider rooftop. The sky slider rooftop was the MAIN reason I purchased this type of Jeep. Had it for 1 1/2 years and the roof would not close after opening it. Took it to the Jeep dealership and they advised this happens all the time to this type of roof and it is not covered by any warranty and Jeep does not take responsibility for same. This is factory installed roof and have read numerous complaints about them since I had to take it in. Jeep does not stand behind their product at all. I asked the dealership if the door came off and would not close would that be covered he laughed and said no. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A JEEP WITH THIS TYPE OF SLIDER ROOF. IT COSTS $2,900 TO REPAIR AND WAS TOLD I WAS LUCKY THE MOTOR WAS STILL GOOD OR IT WOULD HAVE BEEN $5,500.

JEEP needs to recall this and repair them at their costs. The actual costs of the parts were $600. the labor was the rest. CRAZY
