First time it happened we got gas (thank god we live next to the gas station) it sputtered home and died. Ended up missing a days work and cost of a rental car. Got it to the shop and miraculously problem went away. Another cost to have them look at it and tell me nothing. It was good for a month.

Then in Dec. I could barely put gas in my car because anytime you started pumping the pump would kick off. Also in those two weeks when i pumped gas it would sputter and stall. You had to shut it off for an hour and it would go away. Then on 2/8/2018, pumped gas pulled out onto a main rd. it stalled and another car slid into the passenger side shattering the window cutting up my girlfriends face and herniated my s-1 L4,5 disc .Another rental and another 2 days missed work for both of us and the cars in the shop as we speak.

Yeah, I would say this is a very serious issue. I went to see my lawyer to figure out how we're gonna proceed and who's head was gonna put on a platter. I'm really leaning towards Jeep after this website and about 50 more with this same issue.

This problem is annoying. It could put a driver in a dangerous situation if they are not aware of the issue. The engine will stall or try to stall right after refueling. I am used to the problem and make sure the vehicle is going to run properly before pulling out onto the highway. The vehicle had about 50,000 on it when it started doing this. I had it stall on me in the middle of the road several times after pulling on to the highway.

Just saying if I or my wife get into accident because the vehicle has a faulty roll-over valve and or faulty gas tank I will seek a lawyer. I have read many articles on the internet with people having this problem of stalling in traffic after filling gas tank. I put down last date of when I filled gas tank, how ever it happens every time I fill tank. It has been suggested that I don't fill tank, I have tried that and vehicle does not stall. There should be a recall, suggested dealer fix is replace tank $1200 ridiculous.

Got fuel in September of 2014 and about 1/2 mile after getting fuel, while stopping for a red light, the low oil light comes on and the engine shut down. The rpm's went to zero. Attempted a restart, but the engine only cranked, no start. Got the engine to restart and pulled 30 feet off the road and the engine failed again. Had it towed to shop and vehicle runs normal, unable to find issue. Several more incidents after getting fuel of the engine hesitating and having no power during the next few months. In December I got fuel and had an engine failure and had the Jeep towed again. Same problem, once at the shop the vehicle ran normal. Shop told me not to start replacing parts until they could be 100% on what was the cause. At this point with a 4 month pregnant wife, I decided to take it to the dealer to see if they could find the cause.

I got a call from the dealer saying the vapor canister showed signs of fuel saturation. They said this needed to be replaced, and if the problem continued would require a new fuel tank. They put a new canister on, cost me 391$. Vehicle two weeks later died on my wife at a stop light after getting fuel. Took back in and fuel again was saturated the canister, would need tank at 1395$$. I had no choice, and they replaced the tank. Took a week to get the tank, so I was out of a vehicle for a week.

Called Jeeps 1-800 number and got zero help from them. Very cold and uncaring from Jeep. I've never had to replace a fuel TANK before. Over 1700$ in repairs is very bad on me and my family. Jeep really let me down, and I would recommend anyone not to buy a Jeep!

The worst part, as I'm trying to report this issue to Jeep Corp due to the danger, they said they reviewed the case and didn't see a danger. Losing control of your vehicle is a real danger!
