I bought this vehicle new thinking that it would last for the 4 years of college I was about to start. From the beginning, the vehicle has had issues. First thing was the windows go up and crunch like they are going to crush itself it goes up too far. The dealership said there was nothing wrong with it. Then the rubbers around the door frames is falling out all of the time. Our warranty is up since Jeep only give 36,000 with the purchase and, as a student, I was not able to afford to buy any extra warranties. The window issue and the rubber issues have not been fixed. We have to just hope the windows do not break and we keep pushing the rubber back into the tracks-nice for a new vehicle, right? Now, at about 60,000, we will need to come up with over $1000 to have the heater core replaced. The smell is awful! We have a 1 year old daughter who rides in this car every day and we are afraid it will make her sick. We have to have the window open a little in the cold weather just to ventilate the smell for her. We should not have to bundle up inside the car! I don't have the money to fix it yet so we have to suffer. I called Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep customer service on the number found in the owner's manual 877-426-5337 and they were rude and said there was nothing they can do about it and said I should have bought an extended warranty. They don't care! I tried to trade it off for a difference car but we owe almost twice what it is worth because Jeep does not hold its value. We did not get a high interest loan for this purchase so it should not be this much upside down. We still owe nearly twice the current value of this car and we financed at 4%. This is the last Jeep I will ever own for sure!
