The contact owns a 2009 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving 45 mph, smoke was coming from underneath the hood. The contact pulled the vehicle over and the engine ignited into flames. The vehicle was destroyed. There were no injuries. The fire department distinguished the fire but was unable to determine the cause. There was no police report filed. The manufacturer was notified. TL-the driver owns a 2009 Jeep Wrangler. The driver was driving at an unknown speed when he applied pressure to the brake pedal and experienced an increased stopping distance. Upon examination he noticed the rear drivers side brake lines were worn through. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where he was informed the vehicle was not included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 10V236000, service brakes, hydraulic. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The failure and current mileages were 34,905. Sm.
