Had a Jeep Wrangler for 20 years and never needed a new clutch. Bought a new Jeep Wrangler in 2010 and clutch went out at just 54,000 mile. Never drive off road and generally only on flat paved roads. The clutch went out after experiencing a horrific death wobble. Not sure if they are related. Was stranded on highway and had to be towed to repair shop who replaced slave cylinder. Had to rent a car. Went to pick it up and made it another 8 mile and clutch went out on highway and stranded again and had to be towed to Jeep dealer who has replaced the clutch. Had to rent another car and still figuring out how to retrieve my Jeep.
