problem #1

Jun 012016

Wrangler Sport 3.2L V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 46,000 miles

Catastrophic clutch failure, during acceleration , pedal went to floor and lost all ability to shift. Was told at shop that clutch material was completely shredded, with sheared off rivet heads, and blue streaking on clutch plate. Despite 35+ yeArs of driving manual shift vehicles, dealer stated that "driver error" caused the failure. No way.
