Last Friday afternoon (12/13/19) I had a significant brake malfunction where I believe the ABS system falsely thought a wheel was locked up and released the brakes or made them much less effective during a normal stop (my interpretation of what happened ' especially after some online research). I was travelling at approx. 45 mph and the light ahead turned yellow and I pressed the brakes to stop. The brakes were ineffective, and I realized I was not going to be able to stop in time before entering the intersection. I decided to run the light and pull over on the shoulder immediately. I then proceeded to drive again in a slow fashion and apply the brakes. I had the same ineffective response. I tried a third time with the same results. I believe the ABS was being engaged falsely. I was alone in the vehicle and no cars were in front of me. I am certain that if I was on a crowded major highway and I was had to stop I would have crashed ' unnecessarily because there was no need for the ABS to engage. The above incident occurred approx. 3 hours away from my house in the vicinity of davenport. I brought the Jeep to posner Jeep who checked the vehicle and re-initialized the ABS and said they didn't find any problem. I bought the Jeep in 2015 from arrigo Dodge in tamarac and have had several issues with the ABS system and sensors. I strongly feel that the issue can happen again and can cause accidents and possibly deaths if not dealt with appropriately.

Vehicle shuts down completely. The interior still has power but the power steering and engine stops. It restarts but act like it is not getting any fuel. It runs fine after it is cranked until the next time it happens. It is very dangerous

Stability control goes out at 70+ mph over any deviation in the road surface and not just a major bump. I lose control of the Jeep completely and have to take my foot of the gas and then it will right itself. This is a threat to life and safety and for a four year vehicle should not be happening. Also, all the electrical components went out and the fuel gauge goes down and up randomly, the stability control lights come on and off which terrify me and I am shaken to the core as I don't want to lose control of the vehicle as I have for the past weeks at 3 or 4 times a week on average! the speedometer goes down to 5 mph then back up to 66mph then back down and my headlight lamps flickered on and off all at the same time. All fuses are intact and secure. Then the Jeep would start and I checked the fuses and made sure they were secure and it started again. I need help and am fearful for my life using this Jeep and have only had it a year. This should not be happening to a 4 yo vehicle. Please assist me. Thank you for your time.

Air bag warning light is on and other functions on steering wheel stopped working.dealership mechanic says ongoing problem with Jeep. Says drive very carfully because air bag will not deploy when light is on. Clock spring has been recalled on many Jeep Wrangler. Thank you.

Was driving one night with 8 year old daughter sleeping in the back seat. The headlights suddenly started going off and on then off completely, then wipers started going off, then interior light and dashboard lights & locks like it was possessed then Jeep suddenly died. Thank goodness we were almost home so my husband coasted it into our driveway then we noticed what smelled of electrical fire, I looked at the hood and could see a glow. My husband put it in park as I yelled for my daughter to wake up & get out. Mine & my husbands door were unlocked but the back two doors wouldn't unlock. I jumped back in the car (the fire was on my side ) to get my panicking daughter out right as the back doors unlocked again while still going off and on, and my husband got the fire put out and battery unplugged which was by this time on fire along with the fuse box.

13 thirteen incidents always in motion. Jeep slams brakes without me touching the brake for approximately 1 to 2 seconds. Skip control red light appears on dash as well as button. Then continues driving normally. It has happened to me 13 different times and places within one month period. Traveling between 20 to 40 in town and 11 times on major hwys. I have taken Jeep to shop at dealership official manufacturers of Jeep twice now. Soon to be 3 I have same complaints regarding safety issues for owners of same type of Jeep as me both with and without lifts so that is eliminated. Jeep stability button (skid control) is major problem (electrical that may cause other issues before too much longer idk (I am no mechanic but there is process of elimination undocumented incidents have now happened to me at different times and dates 13 times! (I am keeping track) speeds from 20 mph and 40 to 45 mph and 70-75 mph both in town and on major highways. I have tried to stop people to get written statement to no avail. Usually flip offs, people swerving at me, vehicle getting in front of me then slamming on brakes, probably around 5 times I have run people behind me off road into other traffic or ditch/'side' once into center cement barrier between N-S traffic in rush hour traffic! I am making this complaint due to your written statement that all complaints are reviewed! if certified letter is required regarding the incidents described above, please let me know. I do have this complaint along with Jeep manufacturers trying to repair. I am woman so neither time did they look at all these compaints, check them out, or drive. Again soon to be third time for same reason. - as far as written documentation, only manufactures' reports are listed under VIN#. accident//incident/ticket not available. Serious problem for Jeep if I or anyone causes another to possibly die.

When the vehicle is under acceleration the brakes will lock-up causing an abrupt stop. The vehicle then has no acceleration power at the brakes are being applied with no input from the driver. Basically the ABS is engaging brakes without pressure applied to the brake pedal. It is likely and highly probably that this will cause a fatal or near fatal rear end collision. In traffic or when pulling into a lane of traffic it occurs without warning. ****** please address this problem. It is extremely dangerous***

As I was driving 55 miles an hour, the ABS light on the dash came on and the car light with the swerving lines behind it on the dash, my brakes locked up almost causing me to crash, finally got it on side of the road, restarted it and the lights are still lit up and brakes still locked up, have to call a wrecker for a tow, and I have approximately only 50,000 miles.

Traction control feature just comes on suddenly while driver forward or tuning a corner at random times causing the vehicle to slow down immensely for no reason. May cause an accident if not corrected. This has happened on dry pavement multiple occasions without warning or reason.

I own a 2015 Jeep Wrangler unlimited 4 door 4X4 automatic transmission. Intermittent loss of power and traction control light comes on... I wrote up a report a couple of weeks ago--but I understand the issue better now...so, my Jeep basically conks out--often at highway speeds...and re-starts in about 1 second...at least it feels like it conks out--all of the dash lights come on as they do when I first start the Jeep...but the traction control light stays on--does not blink and it has remained on since then...also the cruise control will not turn on...I have checked the fuses...and I have run an obdii diagnostic--the fuses are fine and the diagnostic finds nothing wrong I have read that this issue is occuring frequently on Jeep renegade and dealership says nothing is wrong. This occurs while the vehicle is in motion, on streets and on highways...while going straight and while turning...

I keep getting a stability control light and that causes the ecb light too pop and then I have no steering wheel controls. This all started after I tried to superchip my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. Sense then my Jeep has been in a local shop for about a month and they have had the brain reflashed and have changed gears for the 4inch lift and much much more. I was driving 65mph when the stability control first tries to take control of the vehicle, talk about scary...anyone out there have this or similar issues, please help.

We bought our Jeep in July 2015. Went on vacation to Oregon in August 2015 and the engine light came on. We drove to winchester bay to a Jeep dealer where they diagnosed that a cylinder misfired. But they said to drive it back to California to the Jeep dealer where we bought it. After that when driving the Jeep the traction light comes on and at the same time the accelerator stops working. The light stays on for about 4-6 seconds, but so does the accelerator. This was happened 9 different times. We have taken the Jeep into the service department and they keep the Jeep for a week. This happened 3 times, so for 3 weeks we didn't have our Jeep and had to rent a car (which Jeep provided). They were unable to duplicate the traction light going on. After the third time, the dealer would not let us bring in our Jeep to them so we had to call the Jeep solution, which is a joke. They only try to find another dealer to look at it. So we took it to another dealer and they were unable to duplicate the same problem. They don't understand when the traction light comes on and the accelerator stops working, how dangerous it is when driving 70 mph in traffic and then the speed goes down to 63 in seconds. I was flipped off, cut off and yelled out by other drives who thought I was slowing down on purpose. I have been renting cars to drive long distances because I am afraid to drive it on the freeway too far. Some one needs to fix our Jeep and understand how dangerous this is. We are again taking the Jeep to another dealer to look at it. This will be the 5th time in the dealership for service. Because the engine light is not going on they said they can not see that the traction light came on. Is that possible? please help!
