I took my Jeep in to find out why left side rear blinker stops working when I use it when the light are on. Only stops working when I have the lights on or when I switch the lights on... I was told the TIPM was bad and needs to be replaced for a $1200 bill... They said they replace a lot of them... but at 44,000 miles this is just NOT right! They said it will only get worse as time goes by... I'm checking on ebay and have found places that sell rebuilt ones... but I want Jeep to fix this on their dollar.

Jeep wouldn't shift out of first gear. Still under 5 year, 100,000 mile power train warranty, so I took it to the dealer. The dealer said the problem was a transfer case module failure - electrical problem - so it was not covered under warranty! So long $600 bucks, but what choice did I have?! Next day dealer calls and says the TIPM is the real problem that caused the first problem!! He says he has no idea how long the part will take to get here - as this is such a major problem, TIPMs are on back order! He said it could be a week or he's seen the wait be months!! So much for taking visiting relatives out in our Jeep! One week and $800 later - I am told my Jeep will be ready tomorrow. What a lousy way to start the New Decade!!

I'm super pissed as, after doing research on TIPM failures, this is a known issue with a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit only covers up to 2014 Wranglers, but it's a known issue all the way up thru the 2015s! I'm thinking of calling the attorney's to see if the 2015s are going to be added.

If you've had a TIPM problem - speak up. Together is the only way we will get Jeep to take action!

Tire pressure sensors not working. Dealer stated that I need a new TIPM $900.00. After readying a little about on this issue I am hoping the TIPM doesn't cause any other issues. This should be a recall!

Issue has happened 3 times now always when having driven on the freeway.. Out of nowhere the vehicle will lose all power, the panel lights will flicker and the brakes lockup. Luckily the anti skid kicks in and the vehicle crawls enough to get off the road. Last time I was pulling a trailer and almost got hit. The panel lights where on rest of day this last time and had to baby the jeep home. Next day go to trouble shoot issue and everything reset back to normal. Called the dealership and of course the TIPM is not under warranty. Wonder if I got in a major wreck if they would do something to fix the defective part. May not be a ton of us with this issue but do a search on the internet and this is defiantly a known issue. and yes when it happens it definitely will scare everyone in the vehicle.

Go to work one night, turn the car off, wipers off, keys out of the ignition, and the wiper blades will not stop going, full blast! Turns out the TIPM is corroded. I don't understand how an almost 3 year old car gets a corroded TIPM. This can't be a common problem because 2 dealerships and 2 auto shops had never seen this before in their lives. I believe this needs to be investigated by Chrysler, and as much as I love my Jeep, I will sadly never buy from Chrysler again after this experience.

Wrangler Safari 3.2L V6

Purchased 2015 jeep wrangler Safari New. I installed the aftermarket wiring kit to allow the vehicle to be towed and to tow small utility trailer ( I am very qualified with an electrical degree and 35 years experience). For about 12,000 miles I had no issues with anything. Then I noticed that the inside signal for the right side would suddenly start blinking very fast, which is an indication of a problem with the turn signal on the right side. I pulled over and verified that the right rear signal was not on and not blinking. When I got home, I checked out the light and it was working. This has occurred numerous times. I checked out the wiring to verify that I didn't have a problem. No problem was found. You can't fix what isn't broken when you troubleshoot.

Now the right signal has gotten worse. If you turn it on for more than 5 seconds, the inside indicator starts blinking very fast and will not work unless you allow the vehicle to cool down. I removed the right tail/signal light and had no power to the right signal. I removed the left signal light which has the main plug from the TIPM to the Left and right signal lights. The left has power, the right doesn't. I turned on the Hazard warning flashers and the left had power, the right didn't. With a Chilton electrical schematic, I verified that the power was coming from the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). I went on line and found that a 2015 Wrangler (13,000 miles) had the same problem with the left rear signal which was cover under warranty, I called the vendor where I had purchased the Jeep, and was told that because they had not installed the after marker towing kit, the warranty would not cover the TIPM. I will have to eat the cost of the repairs but wanted to document that is a recurring problem. It was so bad that from 2011 to 2014 that Chrysler Dodge Jeep had issued to recall for the TIPM failures.

Left turn signal/brake light will not work. Dealer had it for 3 days before telling me that it was the TIPM module. They tried telling me that it was caused by the light mods on my jeep even though everything goes through an Spod and not hooked up through the fuse box.

After much arguing, they agreed to replace it under warranty.
