The letter states that if my Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership, leesburg, va, is unable to remedy the defect for free within a reasonable time frame, then I should submit a complaint to the NHTSA administrator, 1200 New Jersey ave, SE, wdc 20590. The dealership informed me that they only perform 6 repairs for this recall per month. I am number 116 in a wait list. Therefore, I will have a defective air bag in my Jeep Wrangler for over 19 months without a free and timely repair. Knowing that this is a defective airbag that can risk the health and lives of my family, this is not acceptable. I am submitting this complaint for action to NHTSA to assist in having this dealership provide more timely repairs for known defects that kill people.
