I moved to Colorado and lived there for three years, the dealerships in Denver are HORRIBLE. I know some things about cars, granted not too much but I do know quite a deal. When I first moved there I asked the dealership to check my clutch while changing my oil and brakes. THEY NEVER DID. Every time I took my Jeep there I asked for them to check my clutch and no one bothered.

Fast forward to a separate issue with that dealership (Larry H. Miller on Havana) I went to a separate branch up in Thorton on 104th. I worked an eight hour shift the previous night and had an appointment with this branch for over three weeks. My appointment was at 7:15 am, which they knew that I needed my brakes changes, oil checked, tires rotated since I was hearing a popping sound when I turn to the left and for someone to check my clutch since my 5th gear was grinding when I would put it into gear. They have known about that for weeks and knew that I was making the drive back to the east coast since my boyfriend and I were moving to be closer to family.

I dropped it off and there were three cars in front of me to get the minimal done (brakes, oil and rotating tires). The OLDER man that checked me in asked me what was wrong and I told him exactly what was going on and to not change my oil since I did that the week before. He then looked at me as if I am an airhead and said "you drive a manual?" and I just said yes. He then proceeded to ask "what kind of grinding?" I looked at him if he was serious and then calmly explained "it is a grinding sound whenever I shift it into 5th." Then he asked "did you really change the oil?" I repeated myself by saying yes, frustrated I checked it in and went home to sleep and eat.

Come around 3 PM that day I called and asked how my wrangler was coming along. For one I couldn't reach the older man that checked me in each time that the woman transferred me it would go to his voice mail. After the third attempt I finally told the woman that I would be starting a 12 hour shift that was a 25 minute drive without traffic and that I needed my Wrangler and talk to the guy that checked me in since he was the only one who could tell me the status. I FINALLY reached him and this is the conversation.

"I have been trying to reach you how is my Wrangler coming along?" "Oh we are just getting it into the stall right now." "What do you mean that you're just getting it into the stall right now? You've had my jeep for 8 hours and I had an appointment for 7:15 am" "Well I had to change techs and that slowed me and having an appointment it not set in stone."

Thus I told him to not touch my Jeep since I was coming to get it. I get to the dealership and see that the older guy is nowhere to be seen. I get my keys and open my door and a huge waft of HOT air hits my face. Mind you, I live ten minutes away so there is NO WAY that my four door Wrangler could heat up that fast from them moving it out of the stall. In other words THEY NEVER TOUCHED MY JEEP FOR 8 HOURS.

Fed up I left and went to Firestone where they just looked under my Jeep and couldn't see anything and proceeded to say that I needed 4 new shocks. Yea whatever, but after they rotated my tires the bending noise went away whenever I made a left turn.

My boyfriend and I made the road trip back east with a 5x8 trailer and half way to Arkansas fifth gear went out for three hours. I could shift it into gear if I went very slowly which I knew was damaging my clutch. Once I got close to PA, I found that in order for me to reverse I had to slam my shifter down into reverse and hold it while I reversed while fifth gear was out again. I get to my uncles house and dropped my pets off at a sitter and I go to reverse out of their driveway and I couldn't put my jeep into reverse at all!

The next day I call the dealership in Jenkintown and the service department told me to drop off my wrangler that day (Tuesday) to wait for their transmission tech to look at it on Friday. Mind you, I needed a vehicle to go around and look for an apartment and a job and the guy on the phone said that the rental go for $45 a day. I go and drop it off, grab a rental compass and drive to my cousins house which was 20 minutes away. Ten minutes later I get a call from the dealership and this is the conversation.

"My transmission tech just got off lunch and I grabbed him and asked him to take a look at your jeep really quick." "Oh wow that was fast! What did he say?" "He drove your Jeep and confirmed what you told me and said that its the same problem he ran into with a couple of other cars. We need to order a new transmission assembly but there is one piece that is out of stock and back ordered and wont be back in stock until December."

My father and I have been on the phone with them trying to figure out why December and to see if it could be sooner. And to also have a new transmission instead of a transmission assembly (which they agreed to). My Wrangler is well within the warranty. We opened up a case with Chrystler and they told us oh there is a possibility that it will come September 14. Never did.

Come before Thanksgiving I got a call from the dealership saying that there is no expectant date now. Come a week before Christmas I am now being told that the new date is "March". Apparently there is someone else that has been without their jeep for a month longer than mine. Also they wont take up the car payments until after the car is fixed and given back.

To say that this is the worst I've ever dealt with doesn't even come close.

I've been complaining about the transmission not shifting properly since Sept 2017. I took it to the stealership about it at least 3 times and they have always come back and told me nothing was wrong or they cant replicate the issue. Of course not when you are only driving at 10 mph around the back lot. Well in July 2018 I was driving on a local highway and got up to about 45 mph pulling off from a side street and it wouldn't shift out of what seemed like 3rd gear. I finally got to where I was going, which wasn't far and turned it off, took care of what I needed to and got back in and it seemed fine. HA!! It does it at least once a day and it feels like it is dragging. I can feel bad vibrations in my accelerator. I am talking with Jeep currently and going to take it back in again this month and tell them exactly what it is doing. It needs to be fixed.

Wrangler Sport

We have sent in complaints earlier as the 2015 Jeep has 2 times earlier while driving down the road started violently shaking and felt like it popped into neutral. We had to pull over, put it in park calm down then put it back into drive and go. Well the dealer still says no problem can be found. This weekend when we put the jeep into D to drive forward the jeep would only go backwards . We had to shift it 3 times into Park and back to D to get it to drive forward. I am not happy with the response we have been given as we are paying for a vehicle that we do not trust at all and the dealer keeps saying until it happens to them they cannot fix it.

Update from Mar 14, 2017: They have not looked at this complaint any more. They stated until it acts up all the time or completely goes out they cannot fix it. The last time it happened I feel the vehicle is trying to change into reverse or shift while we are driving at hwy speeds and that is why it jumps and shakes like it does.

This is my 2nd 2015 Jeep Wrangler. My first one was bought back from Chrysler because it was deemed a lemon. This one is now unable to be driven and I have only had it for 8 months. I will never, ever, ever buy anything made by Chrysler or Dodge...ever.!

transmission pops out of 4th gear

Brand new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. 6 months old. 6k miles on it. Problems started the week we bought it. Intermittently pops out of and/or will not shift into 4th gear. It's my wife's car, so I initially thought maybe she wasn't shifting with enough force, but that's not the issue. I've driven it and it does the same to me. Not every time, but at least a few times a week. It's ridiculous for a brand new vehicle. Love the Wrangler because it's fun, but would it kill them to improve the build quality a little bit?
