Niro LE Touring 4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 13,495 miles

Car would stutter when shifting while accelerating at any speed. Was told a few times that it was just the engine transitioning between electric and gas. Took several attempts and visits to the dealer but finally was able to register a misfire in the computer. Kia sent a field agent. End result - needed a new engine. Waited 2 months for said engine. Have had car back for almost 4 weeks and only 900 miles. It's doing it again. Not really surprised since I'm sure there wasn't an ongoing fix for future engines, just another engine with the hopes this one wouldn't do it, too. Took car in for recall fix and it sort of misfired again. Hoping it was enough to register in the computer. Awaiting a call....
