Best way to avoid breaking the unlock button on the door handle is to not use it or warm it with your hand when it is frozen. I pressed my passenger side button when it was frozen and it has never worked since.

Rondo EX 2.0L Gdi

  • Automatic transmission

Since the weather has turned colder, the button on the door handles (driver and passenger side front) freeze. Noticed at temperatures hovering above zero degrees centrigrade and colder. Have been unable to use the buttons in colder, winter weather. Considering this car is built in part for the Canadian market, I would think cold/winter weather testing would have picked this up.
