Sedona SX 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 112 miles

happened 4 time now. luckily all in local, not highway.

Update from Feb 15, 2016: The dealer replaced the throttle body and didn't fix the problem. It seems all happened within about 30 miles after the gas is filled up. Not sure if dealer will replace the gas tank this time.

Update from Mar 26, 2016: dealer replaced hose-canister, hose-canister to ccv, hose-vapor, canister assy, valve-canister close, filter-air, ftk freight kia. Still got stall after filling up the gas. Note I just let the gas pump running until it shutdown by itself, i didn't try to put in more gas after that.

I am filing a lemon-lay case for it and hope Kia will take it back.

Update from Jun 30, 2016: Kia took it back under lemon law. I do appreciate the help from kia customer service, dealer service dept, and BBB autoline.

Sedona EX 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 800 miles

It is fortunate that this happened at at low speed driving with my 2 year old son and 9-month pregnant wife. It started with the steering wheel locked and engine stopped. I tried to restart the car several times and it never came back on. Called KIA road side assistance and I was able to get the tow service after two attempts calling them. The first request cost about 1 hour and the tow company said they never confirmed the request with KIA, so I need to contact them again. KIA roadside assistance sucks! Now the car sits at the dealership for three days and I am told they can still not figure out the problem and plan to replace a new computer. I will need to wait another two days to see if you this will solve the problem.

Sedona EX V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 400 miles

After only 1 1/2 weeks of having this piece of crap, it shut off on me while I was driving with my daughter in the car, barely able to pull to the side of the road. When I called the dealership, they told me it was because I topped the gas tank off so I did not need to bring it in. Then it happened not even a week later and had to be towed to them because I was too scared to drive it such a long distance. They then tell me it is the remote starter they put in messing with the security system in the van. The van is there, with a fuel pump code they cleared and the cluster on the dash blew so had to have part ordered, which caused my van to sit there for 2 weeks. Then I pick up my van on a Friday night and it drove horrible the whole way home and the next day it died on the highway going 70mph with my children in it with me on the way home from a family Christmas party. My biggest fear, happened!!

Again, had it towed and it was there for another week and they replaced the fuel pump, telling me again they were sure this was the issue. Well here I am again with a rental because after not even a week having it back, it stalled out in a snow storm on my way to work with no where to pull over!! The manufacturer and dealership have not been helpful to me in any way, shape or form. When asked if they would trust their families in the vehicle, I get stupid responses or blank stares which indicates to me that they don't want the vehicle, but I should?! I am not happy with their customer service and will never willingly buy a KIA again because they are not about customer safety or satisfaction.

I am told by many that Kia is a great make but I just got a bad one, so shouldn't this be corrected or are they looking for a lawsuit?
