After I bought the Kia the tire sensor light kept coming on. I took it to Kia, they said it was due to winter coming on. The light continued to come on, I kept filling the right rear passenger tire. I was taking a senior friend to Blackhawk on April 7, 2011, the light came on again. I pulled up to the air at a shell station a couple blocks from his condo. I went to fill the air and the valve stem shot through my hand. I asked my friend to walk home, and I changed to the spare. I went to the new Kia shop and they said nobody was their that could help me (my car was under full warranty, nobody thought to suggest I call the 800 number.) I went to Big O, they were closed. I finally went to the next town where Walmart had a tire center. They told me they couldn't get the sensor, but they could do a regular valve stem so they did for a couple bucks. I have talked to a few folks at Kia and they refused to fix it, said Jiffy Lube probably broke it off. Not once did they suggest to call the 800 number. I went in again on July 10th to ask again, this time Mick suggested that he send something into the 800 number, it is the 29th and I have not heard back.

my husband and i live 15 miles from the nearest town. every time we got ready to go somewhere we had to put air in the tires. it was not always the same tire. in this small town where we live they pull the sidewalks up at dusk. so there is nothing open or nowhere to get air after 6:00. so many times we had to drive into town on a low tire, till we cold find a place to put air in our tires. when you buy a new car parts should not start having problems within a couple of years. if so i believe you got yourself a LEMON.
