I lived in an area that got rather hot in the summer months in addition to being a beach resort and having packed traffic in season. When you are in stop and go traffic you really need to turn the air off and roll the window down so that really created a major pain in the ass. Also if you went to drive up services you had to open your door to be able to use it, i.e. ATMs, drive up bank window services, fast food, toll booths, etc.
