My a/c has not worked an entire summer since 2010. I have had it in the shop every summer and it has never been fixed. Today was the 3rd time this summer it had been there. Now it is a different part for $700. I told them to put it back together and I would pick it up. Time to trade vehicles. Not a Kia!!
Update from Oct 12, 2015: I got in touch with Kia Corporate. They worked it out that Kia would cover the part and labor to fix the a/c. They put a new dryer on my car a couple weeks ago. Took them 5 hours. No charge. It was working fine on short drives. Drove to my son's house, 200 miles, and the a/c quick working again!! I am not taking it back to them. I don't think they know what they are doing.
My check engine light came on also the last time I drove to my son's. They couldn't find anything wrong with it. They thought the transmission fluid needed flushing. I paid for that to be done. THis weekend the light came on again. I am moving up my car trade. I think after Christmas will be a good time. I think I am going back to a Nissan. Never again a KIA!
