While traveling @ about 15 mph made a right turn up a one way street, car made a loud thump sound and lurched forward. At which point the car stopped and I was not able to move back or forward. Exited vehicle to find driver side wheel broke off and moved forward in the wheel well. Mazda roadside was called and flatbed service arranged. Car is well maintained and only has 74,000 miles. Mazda needs to act quickly on this recall issue because some one is going to get seriously injured or kiilled (driving at highway speeds)

The contact owns a 2009 Cx-9. the contact stated that while traveling 40 mph, the vehicle began to shake and veer to the left abnormally. The vehicle shortly began to operate normally. The vehicle was able to be driven to the contact's residence and was later taken to the dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the issue. The failure and current mileages were 56,000.
