When replacing the tuner and amp unit (TAU) with a new one for any reason, a call must be made to inform Sirius XM Dealer Support (1-800-852-9696) of the Radio ID (of the new TAU) and the vehicle VIN as soon as possible. If the customer has already signed-up for a SiriusXM satellite radio subscription, ask the customer to renew the subscription with the new Radio ID. Otherwise, the satellite radio activation will be refused. Even if the customer has not signed-up for a subscription, this information is important in case the customer wants to sign-up at a later date.
