Mazda dealer was able to resolved the hard shifting issues, but after about three months/3,000 miles problem with gear grinding when shifting into 3rd and/or 4th gears intermittently. Brought it back to the dealer, since shifting problem was still under 12 months, 12,000 miles warranty. Mazda was able to replace replace the gear box under warranty tsb#05-001/15
