MAZDA6 Atenza 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,243 miles

The new July 2017 Mazda 6 Atenza Blind spot monitoring only works when a car is overtaking you and NOT when you overtake a vehicle. "HOW STUPID AS THE CAR IS STILL IN THE BLIND SPOT"

This Mazda 6 has gone backwards the 2015 Atenza model Blind spot monitoring worked very well.

So if you overtake a vehicle the Blind spot monitoring doesn't work, so you can put your blinker on and hit the car next to you when you think you can go back into that lane.

I have a station wagon and carry boxes, so I rely on the side mirrors as you can't see when you look over your shoulder.

The 2015 Mazda 6 Atenza Blind spot monitoring worked very well and told you the vehicle was still in the blind spot and not to go back into that lane until it was clear.

I would have thought this could be re programmed into the computer to at lest work when you need it when you are overtaking another vehicle.

I spoke to Mazda Australia over the phone and have never heard back from them in 2 1/2 months.
