Throttle sticks when accelerating from complete stop due to build-up on throttle plate. Owner has provided maintenance and fuel as specified in manual, yet was told Mazda does not cover under warranty. Problem appeared with less than 15000 miles. Cleaning (at owner cost) provides only short-term remedy.

The control unit already contained the latest programming. The engine idle speed was reset and the throttle sensor voltage. Relearned the idle and rechecked.

Vehicle taken for service at roger beasley Mazda North (austin, tx) service advisor states that problem with vehicle turning off while driving has been reported by other Tribute owners and that the exact diagnosis has not been made yet. Service dept replaced throttle body as this is what has been determined to be the fix at this time.
