I have had the vehicle serviced at Richmond Mercedes Benz since I purchased it. I have complied with all of the required warranty and service recommended. The dealership not once mentioned it was a problem and could be repaired. I noticed on the internet that others of had similar problems, had them repaired bur the only gripe was waiting a long time for the replacement walnut trim pieces to come into the dealership for installation. My warranty was not 6 years but 5 years only, and when I reported it this summer, they indicated I was past the warranty as the car was released in February 2011.

My contention is, and I believe they should have picked up the problem during routine maintenance and had it repaired. I had a 2005 Infinity FX35 with a cracked dash from age and exposure to the sun and the dealership singled out the problem and repaired it 'no charge'.

The Mercedes Richmond dealership, indicated that the mismatch would be accentuated with a repair, but due to my insistence, quoted me $2550.00, to repair it and charged my card accordingly for the parts and labour. When I asked about it, they wouldn't release my car without signing off and indicated they would credit the charge. To date, the charges are still on my account.

Question, should I write Mercedes Benz Canada or am I just wasting my time? Any input or help is appreciated.
