Altima S 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 70,000 miles

I was traveling back to Georgia from Michigan while driving 80mph on I285 in Atlanta my car lost speed it dropped down to 45 and would not go any faster I had the accelerator to the floor. This is a very dangerous problem in these 2012 Nissan Altima's. I was nearly hit more then once when this happened. Does Nissan ever think about when on the highway and this happens when a Semi is behind you and doing 80 as well it takes them much longer to slow down. This is a sever accident waiting to happen which could cause death if hit by a semi at this speed.
