Armada Platinum 5.4L V8

Approximately 1.5 years ago, and just prior to the end of my regular warranty period, the pain on the hood started to peel away even during normal driving conditions. It has since spread to the roof just above the front windshield and on the passenger side. My vehicle had a product called Tiger Seal applied which was to prevent fading and protect the clear coat for years. In less than three years the paint started peeling and will negatively affect my future trade-in.

After contacting the dealership, which contacted the regional Fix operations manager, the decision was immediately made that they were in no position to offer any good will assistance and stand behind their name or product. A multi billion dollar company and they wont assist one of their repeat customers.

I then raised my concerns to Nissan Corporate of North America, and they quickly rendered the same verdict citing environmental conditions as a result of the abnormal peeling of my paint and once again were not going to cover any repair. Yes, the end all environmental reason for all things excuse to allow Nissan's hand washing of an ongoing and growing problem as documented on here.

When will companies stand up and take care of the consumer? There is no mysterious environmental condition that is causing my problem. Two paint shop owners with 50 plus years experience between them have verified an improper preparation as to how my vehicle was painted. It shows on the hood where my primary problem is.

I am currently in my third Nissan vehicle, however, am confident that this will be my last. I would highly recommend to any future Nissan owners to seriously consider another purchase, least you find yourself in the same situation.
