I have two 2016 Nissan Maximas. On both cars there isn't any signal that the seat belt is latched. The light only comes on if the passenger seat is not on. I took the cars to Nissan, but they trying to charge me over $1000 to have it fixed and clearly its a Nissan issue. I have read other people having the same issue.

The seat belts indicator lights for the driver never comes on even when you remove the seat belts I've reported this issue to my local dealer but the didn't fix it.
