Driving at 65 miles a hour on the highway and car lost all power in the drive train could not get it back to speed as a truck going the same speed was on my bumper after loosing power luckily I was able to get over off the highway. My car has 90000 miles on it and I do not feel that my transmission should of went bad I see that there is a lot of complaints on the 2008-2010 Nissan rouge for the same issue as the 2011 rouges, called Nissan and was told that I do. It have an extended warranty so there was nothing they could do. I just hope that it does not take a serious accident to happen before Nissan fixes the problem.not a happy customer right now and I still owe 2 years on this car and only had it for 3 years.

The shift lever stuck in parking position and I couldn't move to rear or driving position.I spoke with dealer and helped me to remove the shift lock and suggested me to take it to dealer the next day I took it to the dealer and the couldn't find the problem but suggested to change shift lever and I agreed to change the lever and I am waiting for the replacement. My car battery was checked and no problem identified with that I am worried this problem might be involved with electrical system and might affect other cars too.

On Sunday(12/3/17), I drove home from church, parked my car in front of my house and entered my house for less than ten minutes prior to my neighbor knocking on my door to notify me that my Nissan Rogue was engulfed in flames. I had no suspicion that anything was wrong with my vehicle to cause a fire. One block from my house I was pulled over by a cop, who notified me that she saw one of my headlights go out. There was no sound, light or smell that would have indicated a problem with my vehicle. I am grateful for being in my house at the start of the fire. I had no aftermarket upgrades done to my vehicle and it was regularly taken in for oil changes and to have tire maintenance. My concern is another Nissan Rogue owner will not be as lucky as I was and instead will be driving at the time of an engine fire.

Exploding sunroof. As I was driving down a busy highway, I heard a loud explosion from the top if my vehicle. I then heard little shatters, of what I know now, was tempered glass falling on my sunroof shade. When it was safe, I pulled over and there was a huge while in the middle of my sunroof.

We purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue at the end of 2010, and it was a good car in the beginning, however, I started to notice small things here and there that weren't that great. But they would come and go. Then one day I opened the left rear door handle, and it broke off!! it looked like a cheap piece of plastic you see at the dollar store. I took it to Nissan and they wanted $550!!! ridiculous! I found a good honest mechanic place and they even reduced the cost since it only took them 15 mins to replace it! only costed me $80! so now and again it has also been losing rpms and having difficulty speeding up. My husband was driving from work and on the freeway, and the rpms stopped at 4000 and froze. I wouldn't go over 60mph! he was scared and pulled over to the side of the road. He checked the oil (it was perfect), the inside and saw nothing. He said he smelt a fire type smell while in the inside of the car, but no fires. He slowly got over and pulled off of the freeway and into a car place to have it looked at. I called Nissan as the technician stated that there was a recall on the nisan Rogue. I called Nissan and they stated that it was the 2010 Rogue. Mine is the 2011 Rogue which was purchased at the end of 2010. So I am suppose to believe that they somehow put a better cvt transmission in my Rogue which is not that far off from the 2010 that has an extended warranty and recall on it?? hardly, I have seen many many other complaints from people about this vehicle and exact year. I've even called about our Rogue a few times when I've heard about recalls, but they've always told me it's only 2010 and my car should be fine. Obviously it's not fine, and the car is crap. Nissan should stand by their products, and they are not. They will continue to lose good customers that are hard working americans who pay their bills.

I drive to san antonio from el paso and back it happened both ways. We were going up an incline and I was trying to accelerate, I got not response from the gas pedal. Nothing at all, besides a slight acceleration until we pulled off the road. I could push the pedal to the floor with little to no response, and mostly no response. I turn the car off for a few minutes, started it up, and we were somewhat back to normal. It accelerated, but didn't have power behind it. It took much more to get to 80mph, or even 60 mph then a few miles more it started all over again and it was very dangerous because I had trailers and cars that had to go around me right away lucky for all of us there was not much traffic so they were able to change lane fast if not they would have crashed into me cousin a big or even fatal accident.

Yesterday I was driving to work in the city took a left hand turn onto a busy street beside the highway and all of a sudden my steering wheel took control and pulled the wheel to the right I nearly crashed into a guard rail. I pulled the wheel back to the left and was absolutely freaked out by what had happened. Last evening all of a sudden I turn my car off go into a store come out an hour later and nothing at all when I turned the ignition key. No lights no dash lights no noise at all is was as if battery was completely dead. New battery installed 4 months ago. I thought I may have left something on and caused the battery to drain, however, a few minutes later the car dashboard lights up on its own with the key still in the ignition but not turned on to the start position. I turned the key and the car started. This morning I went to leave for work, same thing car absolutely dead. I checked under hood, thought perhaps loose cables to the battery. I checked and saw no loose cables I wiped around the area with a paper towel got back in car turned key and the car started. I drive to work in boston park the car in my employee parking garage and get out of the car and went to automatically lock the doors and nothing. No security light on inside of the car, totally dead again! I'm wondering if this is an issue with many other Nissan's as I read online many complaints of this same issue. Has there been a recall for this issue" what is the issue" I need to get this resolved please. I can't have a vehicle that is undependable especially when I am making car payments on this vehicle every month. It is rather scary that this may be an electrical or steering issue for safety reasons. The car went out of control on its own yesterday.

While driving on highway vehicle losses power and won't accelerate.without warning losse power, even with accelator pedal would barely move. After letting car sit, vehicle acts normal until it happens again. It is very dangerous and almost caused an accident. Just picture you and other cars driving over 60 on the expressway and your car randomly just stop and wont move. I see many owners of nissn Rogue experience the same problem. Can anything be done about this issue by the manyfacturer?

The car lost power. I push on the accelator and nothing would happen. This usually happens when I have been driving around dor more than an hour. It was very scary. Lots of cars coming at me and I could not get my car to accelarate. After a few minutes it started to accelerate and it went back to normal. I have had this happen 4 times. Try calling Nissan but no answers. Nobody seems to know why my vehicle is doing this.

Whenever you open the rear passenger door on the drivers side the trunk opens on its own, I found out about this because the light on the dashboard would turn on at first I couldn't understand why but soon discovered that the trunk door was open and it happen every time you open that specific rear passenger door on drivers side. It is unsafe because I do carry items in the back like groceries and such and if I wouldn't of found out about this someone behind me could have been hurt due to this.where I bought the vehicle I did let them know and they fixed it but not even a year has passed and it started to occur again I'm not sure if there is something wrong electronically or how these two doors are connected but it occurs every single time you open that specific door.

I started my vehicle on the morning of the 19th and I did hear a strange noise coming from the front. It was the first time I had heard that noise before and had to take my 7 year old to an appointment. We got a few miles from our home and as we were going up a steep hill the car came to a complete stop in the middle of the roadway and would not go any further. This could have caused serious injury to myself or my child in the car as the car stopped and would not move. There were no warning signs or issues prior to this and the car is only 4 years old. I had the car taken to the closest mechanic and was told there are serious transmission problems. The mechanic suggested contacting the dealer to see if there was a recall but the dealer says there is no recall on this.

My 2011 Nissan Rogue was new when I purchased it. On July 15, 2015, while driving at 50 mph, the car suddenly started vibrating violently with a loud noise and stopped suddenly in the middle of traffic without warning! I had 3 kids in the car and we could've been seriously hurt! I could shift it into gear but it wouldn't accelerate or move. A diagnostic discovered it's the transmission as suspected. I have 118K highway miles on it and have been getting regular and scheduled oil changes and maintenance. Nissan is aware of the problem since I made a claim to nissansupport. They would not acknowledge or take responsibility for the poor transmission problem and stated that it was beyond the warranty. What does it take for Nissan to take responsibility for endangering lives" the death of a wife, husband, mother, father, sister, brother...a child"

Going down the interstate at cruising speed, with speed control set, it would just drop off cruise control on it's own and speed decreased rapidly. Manual acceleration would also not work. I had to exit the interstate at very low speed. We allowed the Rogue to sit for about 10 minutes thinking that is was overheating as we had been on a road trip and were heading home. After turning it back on it was acting normal again. We didn't have any trouble withit again until the next summer when we took a road trip again. Since then it has happened several times so I knew that it couldn't be from the car overheating. I took it back to the dealership where they told me that there was a service bulletin concerning this issue, but the 2011 model was not covered. This is insane. I was told it would cost approximately $5,000 to repainr. This is a major safety concern. I have no idea how long this problem has existed becaues we had never taken in on a road trip until about 50,000 miles when it occurred. We took it to the dealership after the second incident at 62,000. They said they would have repaired it had we brought it in prior to 60,000 but since it was over they would cover nothing even though they admitted there are problems with many of thier transmissions!! they also said they would only replace or add a cooling fan but they would not try to repair it because that was not allowed by Nissan. They said Nissan will not even let them open it up. This is very wrong!
