Sentra 1.8L V4

Have NEVER had a car start turning color, bubbles then paint peels off in large pieces. Blows off in the wind while driving. Apparently there's a significant number of Nissan vehicles across all models and years that are having this same problem, and Nissan refuses to deal with it, says warranty expired so no help from them. I say they KNEW the paint issue would be a problem, used cheap paint methods and supplies to save themselves money knowing full well this would be happening to their customers. And NOW the asses are selling paint repair kits!! They should be fixing these problems, it is not a warranty problem, it is a problem of INTEGRITY, which they do not seem to know anything about.

Sentra S 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission

Over the many winters this car has been through in Montana, the paint has begun to wear off esp. on the hood. To myself, this is a minor cosmetic issue hardly worth mentioning, as normal wear and tear esp. with winter sand/salt does take it's toll on many local vehicles, but it should be noted the paint isn't holding up as well as other cars of the past have faired in this state.

Sentra 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 174,000 miles

Definite factory defect on paint mix. Was a lack of proper amounts of clear used which lead to complete paint fade after many years or a decade or so. Depend on if owner waxed the car often enough to prevent the Element s and Suns UV rays from fading paint. There are 1000s of 2004 Nissan Sentras with the same issue. So Nissan should give every owner a $300 check to go to Macco or some cheap auto body place for a cheap spray job just to cover up the fade.

Sentra S 1.8

  • Manual transmission
  • 150,000 miles

This is an old car. The paint is fading away to just metal. There was no chipping of the paint. I don't want to paint a car that is not worth $1000.
