Sentra SE R Soec V 2.5L

  • Manual transmission
  • 98,500 miles

Nissan recalled some of the 2004 Sentra SE R Spec V for a loose butterfly screw that would get sucked into the engine. I called Nissan and they said "not your VIN number. I have the same problem and needed a new engine and they had no concern at all. My car sat for 8 to 9 months until i could afford a new engine, which wasn't until tax time. I have owned other Nissans but will NEVER EVER buy another one. When i had the engine replaced it was replaced with the same 2.5 out of an Altima, here we go again with engine problems and the motor has only been in for 11 months. Nissan's reputation in my book no longer stands up to the Nissan name. Looked up this problem and found many Spec V owners have had the same problem. Owning a Nissan you don't expect to need a new engine before 100,000 miles, alot of money for a realy cheap made car. Shame on you Nissan.
