Starting hearing a rattling. After further looking it was discovered that on the front driver's side of the vehicle near the tire wheel and under the hood all but two of the rivets are gone. The plastic piece over the wheel well is also scrubbing the tire.

Me and my family were inside the house and heard an explosion. We ran outside and noticed that the passenger side tire exploded and blew the tire well and fender off. The vehicle was just sitting in the yard. I called the ouachita parish sheriff's office. A deputy came out and determined that there was no criminal activity. I filed and auto insurance claim and have to wait up to 48 hours for a response.

Our car was traveling in a very slow speed on an on-ramp of interchange from freeway 110 North bound to 105 West bound in los angeles county. The traffic flow was in a very slow moving fashion. Since it was an uphill on ramp, I had to step on the gas pedal slightly to keep the car moving at a slow but steady speed. As the traffic got slower, I gently stepped on the brake to slow down the car. While I was holding down the brake pedal, suddenly I heard a "clunk" noise and felt a vibration. At this point, the car started moving on its own without a sign of slowing down. I immediately tried to step on brake with full force but felt the brake having no pressure at all. As the car continued to move forward with uncontrolled speed, the only thing I could do at that moment was to veer the car towards the right edge to avoid direct impact with the front car. By reading the owner's manual, I believed the anti-lock braking system function was being erroneously activated at the time of the incident since the dry and non-slippery road condition did not warrant such activation. And what made things even worse was, for whatever the reason, the car was moving on its own in an uncontrolled speed while the break pedal was completely losing the pressure due to the ABS activation. This vehicle was being recalled and serviced for sudden acceleration safety concern due to the lower panel trim design in August. The liability insurance claim was filed for the accident. The mileage was 8740 at the time of accident. Photos of the accident scene are attached and along with other documents.

Nissan of van nuys (5425 van nuys blvd, van nuys, ca 91401) sold us a new 2015 Versa that had an open safety recall (15V-507) and was on stop sale by the manufacturer, in violation of federal law and Nissan's direction to the dealership to remedy in stock vehicles prior to sale.

Coming to a red light failed to brake and rear ended another vehicle. You think you are going to brake, but since the accelerator pedal is to close to the right side panel of the car, wont let your foot to move it easy and your foot gets stuck to the open cut area of the trim that the Nissan experts attempted to fix the problem under recall, and there were no brake lights on the car and was witnessed....updated 01/25/16

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Versa. The contact purchased the vehicle 35 days ago. While driving the vehicle various speeds over the next few days, the contact realized that his foot was getting stuck on the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that there was something that looked like an electrical box between the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and inspected. The dealer stated that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle even though the box, which was three inches by three inches, had not been removed. The contact spoke to the manufacturer and was informed that there was nothing that could be done to correct the failure. The contact stated that the box prevented him from being able to easily move his foot between the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal. The failure mileage was 4,000.

I purchased a new 2105 Nissan Versa 4dr. Sedan in January 2015. I bought a basic car, as I desire. The car has non-power windows and non-remote or power door locks. I discovered later that the car does not have any way on the passenger side to access the car if the doors are locked. There is no keyhole on the passenger side. The locked car cannot be accessed on the passenger side in an emergency (or if the driver's side is blocked such as by a car parking too close or an object). In my case, I have two children who ride in the back. What makes this worse is the car has a child safety feature that makes the doors impossible to open from the inside if a button is pushed in the door jambs (by a parent). If the feature is engaged, a person (parent) cannot get access to the car except thru the driver's door which might be blocked. This set of circumstances renders the car inherently unsafe in my view. Nissan cut a corner here to save money and has caused this safety concern as a result. This car should be considered unsafe.

Gas door release is immediately next to hood release with no distinguishing tactile differences. Hood release was accidentally pulled, along with gas door release. Car was driven from station and, after hitting bump in road, was released. Fortunately, speed wasn't great enough for the hood to fly back into windshield. Design and location of controls is a serious problem with this vehicle.
