Been smelling gas inside and outside for a couple weeks well went to family night due to a friend passing. Had people come and tell me gas was leaking under my car. Car is in shop now they are telling me the part I need is 246.00 dollars because it's a dealer part it's the fitting coming off the gas tank or the fuel pump. it was 235.00 to drop the gas tank that's 481.00 as of right now and my car is still in the shop so I don't have a total as of yet. But as I google the issues with this car and see the complaints on this gas leak issue it makes me wonder why there is no recall on this issue. Does it really take for someone to die before Pontiac to fix this problem.leaking gas is a serious broblem who wants to die in a car fire because some asshole car company will not do a recall to save money I guess money has more value to them then a human life. I have two beautiful girls 15 and 12 that rides in this vehicle and it does piss me off. I wouldn't even complain if it was just my car but look at these complaints not only here but other websites as well its obviously An issue with this car

Update from Dec 1, 2015: JUST REPAIRED IT COST ME $ 500.00 LABOR AND NEW PUMP DOING THE WORK MYSELF........TAKEN DOWN THE TANK I NOTICE THE REASON WHY IT WAS LEAKING THE TANK IS TO CLOSE TO THE CAR FLOOR EVEN THE GAS HOSES ARE TO CLOSE ROBBING AGAINST THE CAR FLOOR . SPACE SO TIGHT THE WHEN CAR BOUNCES THE TANK DOES TOO......PROBLEM THE TANK LINE CONECTION ( ELBOW ) CRACKS , CRACK SO SMALL THAT IT MUST OF COST ME TO WAIST LOTS OF GAS , IF IT WASN'T FOR THE SMELL I STILL BE DRIVING SPILLING GAS ON THE ROAD WAY......I'M SURE THE CAR MAKER KNEW......F*CK IT SELL MORE PART...................THE GOV SHOULD MAKE THEM PAID FOR THIS WRONG DOING..................HOPE THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY DEATHS OR BAD ACCIDENTS ( FIRES )
